RSpeed. It's from MINI of UK and sits behind the cupholders. It's $10.00 plus shipping.

I know there is also one in the MINI accessories catalog but this one is cheaper and from the picture I think it will work well, especially as a place to lay my billfold so I don't have to set on it while I'm driving.

My MC is an 03.
I think, (maybe someone can tell me for sure), that the area behind the cupholders changed with the 04s or maybe it was the 05s.

The nice lady at RSpeed can tell you if it will work in your MINI.

Todays my 62th birthday and I found a MINI accessory that I want that I can actually afford.

Hey resmini Happy Birthday

The 2005's come with a tray, not sure if the 2004's have it.

I got the 05 tray thing from the dealer and just popped it in myself. Love it.

$7.10 to ship a $10 item almost killed it for me, but adding the $9.95 trunk net left the shipping the same, so I went for it. I am hoping it will be a useful place for my cell phone while driving. Plugging in the headset and the charger at the same time can be a challenge.

I too thought the shipping was a bit high....so I ordered a chrome ring to go around the gearshift, (matches the speedo and tach rings I bought a year ago from RSpeed). The shipping charges must be a plot to get you to order more stuff.

Worked this time.

FWIW, for $14.80+ shipping (from Classic MINI) you can get the little tray in front as well as a nifty fitted tray that fits between the ebrake and the shifter.

Same thing should be available at any dealer (called an 'oddments tray' , PN 51-16-0-305-535) for $18.50. Usually the sales tax is less than the shipping if that's all you're getting.

I was at my dealer Monday, (225 miles from my home). The little tray they showed me that went behind the cupholders wouldn't work on my MINI. It would just fall off the carpet to the side unless you bought still another piece for it to set in. As far as the second fitted tray goes my arm rest would prevent using it. They confused me, (a very easy thing to do), so I bought some MINI emblem valve stem caps and left.

Oh geez, I am thoroughly brain dead, and as easily confused as resmini. I thought this was the one that went between the shifter and the e-brake. I already have the shelf unit in the console, so this is of no use to me at all.

R-speed does not keep Saturday hours, so who knows if the cancellation will keep or not.

I was complaining about the cost of shipping, but if I wind up paying $27 for a cargo net ($9.95) plus a tray I cannout use, that will be the least of my worries.

You refer to already having a "shelf" unit. The RSpeed tray we ordered sits on the carpet behind the cupholders. Is this what you already have?

Hope I didn't contribute to making you blow a few bucks unnecessarily. I called and ordered my stuff and the lady at RSpeed was very nice. She said the UPS stuff would go out about 3pm Friday. Perhaps if you called near or after that time you can stop the order today. The tray is pictured under "new stuff" on RSpeed's website.

I helped operate a nuclear power plant for 30 years and getting the right coin tray for my MINI is harder.

Getting old is only for the tough

Let me know what you do.

You also can order the '05 OEM oddments tray that installs behind the cupholders for about $25 from any MINI dealer. This is the same tray that is installed in all '05 MINIs. And it's a fairly simple install.

Not sure if I really pasted this image or not, but it is the shelf unit I have, and can be seen here: http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=37891 if it does not show up. Even better is the glove box tidy sold by a NAM member, but Google did not give me a quick picture of that.

I knew I did not need that tray, or at least there was a time that I knew. My email verification came after 5pm on Friday, and they are closed weekends, so all I could do was send voice and email messages, which frequently don't work too good. Oh well, if the cancellation does not take, I will probably live to tell about it.
