Rota wheels arrive!

I received my Rota Slipstream wheels in white yesterday. These wheels look really nice, especially considering the price ($490/4 delivered). I put them on the digital scales and they weigh 13 lbs. each.

I must admit that I was a bit sceptical about sending a check for $490 to a company I had never heard of and that had an incomplete web site for wheels that were months from being delivered. However, Jessica at 18Racing stayed in touch during the wait period and was always quick to respond to my questions.

Would I buy from them again? Absolutely. In fact, I'll probably be in the market for yet another set of wheels in the very near future. Since the AK Monzas are no longer available, this is our only reasonably priced lightweight wheel choice in 16 X 6.5.

Do you have a link. I am looking for something in the 7.5 width range.

Thanks for the update on the Rotas. I just picked up my MC two days ago and will finish out the season in HS running on some extra 15" holey rims and 710's, but was planning on getting some 16" wheels for HS next year. The SSR's would be great, but I can justify spending an extra $800 at this time to save 8 lbs (2 lbs per wheel), so I was waiting to see how the 16x6.5 Rota deal panned out. Waiting shouldn't be a problem since I won't need them until next March, so I'll go ahead and pace an order with Jessica for some white Slipstreams in the next week or so.

Tell Jessica that I referred you. It won't do squat for you, but I may get a discount on my next set!

I also just received my set of 16X6.5 Rotas from 18 Racing. Ditto on everything ThumbsUp said. I was also sceptical at first, but Jessica ended up being great to deal with. I highly recommend them.

I received my White Rota's last Thursday.... These wheels are great, hubcentric, light, simple to clean and reasonably priced. Too bad I cannot find any 710's to mount on them

Oh well, at least the wheels came before Nationals....

Got ours this week too. Have been "nursing" a set of Hoosiers A3S03s the last couple months because we didn't want to mount and balance the 710s twice.

We were a little uneasy with the arrangements (paid 100% upfront by check for TWO sets of wheels) but 18Racing did deliver. They were a little beyond the original target date but when your dealing with an out-of-coutry supplier on a semi-custom job occasional delays are part of the deal. We're happy we got them in time to get the 710s mounted and scuffed before Nationals.

Back in stock

Just to let others know that those Slipstreams in OEM MINI size ran out of stock but they are now back in stock-

I recently heard from Jessica sales@18racing.com that they have in stock in 16x6.5" size with MINI hub bore and +45mm offset the following finishes:
White
Flat Black

With polished lip:
Royal Gun Metal
Royal steel grey
Royal Black

Roughly $500 per set of four new rims shipped. Each boxed separately.
A very good rim for an MC in H-stock or an MCS in G-stock.

They are not listed on the website as 16x6.5", it's a special order.
