Please comment on my DYNO graph for best MTH tuning (Long post)

Hi guys,

Really hope to get some advice and comments (any positive or negative inputs are welcome).

As I will be doing the MTH ECU upgrade next week, have bought the Cartune software and now waiting for the USB cable to arrive (should be arriving sometime next week)

In the meantime,I went to do a dyno run for some infromation to assist Franz to best optimize the tune map of my Mini’s ECU.

From my dyno graph (see attached) and below listed MODs specs of my car, what are the points to highlight to Franz for a best optimized ECU map.

A detail specification with listed MODs of my car is as follows:

2004 Production Mini Cooper S in Pepper White/Black Top

Under the bonnet MODs:

Alta Red oil catch can

Alta Cold Air Intake with Red Silicon hose

Alta 15% reduction supercharger pulley

Red 'Live Wires' Spark Plug Wires

Screaming Demon 40,000 volts Coil Pack

That's 192.2hp on engine I believe... Why didn't the guy pull till 6800rpm at least? Btw, 192.2hp at 6000rpm is good for a non-remap car...

Hi,

Yes 192.2 HP is on crank... I also have no idea what the guy who does my dyno does not pull all the way till red line...strange...somehow I feel that the torque is on the low side...

Cheers

I think he should pull to the redline to see the max.. The torque is fine. I had 228Nm @ 6000rpm with MTH.

how much torque is that in lb/ft...

because i pulled 183 at the wheels with 159 lb/ft torque... hp wise i was pretty high (i pulled with 5 other minis, i was second in hp, last in torque)

the torque curve for mine was really really flat though...

Max torque quoted for stock Cooper S built 07/2004 onward is 220 Nm @ 4000 rpm, up from 210 Nm @ 4000 rpm for earlier builds.

Hi Kyriian,

My 223Nm of torque equal to 164.5lb/ft,
I kind of dun understand the low torque, was your Dyno before MTH or after? I really hope MTH will increase my torque, it seems that my car has gained about 30HP on the mods while increased torque is only marginal...
Any idea what mods will gain on torque?

Thanks you..
