Trying to get a feel if there are others out there that would like to have a pulley party in Winston-Salem sometime in September or October. Please post your response here. This is not a club event. All are welcome to attend but there may be a limited number of spots.

 

The date is set! September 10th @ 9am. We have a certified MINI technician doing the work. It will be done in a warehouse in Mocksville courtesy of a fellow club member. Pricing for the install is $325.00 including parts. If anyone wants anything else done, please let me know and we'll see if we can work it in. We have 4 of the 5 slots taken. If you want the 5th spot PM me ASAP!

 

CLUB MEMBERS ONLY
We have been given a discount on the ALTA cold air intake w/ silicone hose for this event. If you would like to have one installed, please let me know. Order closing date is August 30th. Contact me via PM with your member name and I'll give you pricing. You must be a THMMC member and attending this event to get the discount pricing.

 

I'd like to invite anyone that wants to come to do so. You don't have to work on your car to learn things about your MINI. We'll have something for everyone. Dan will be a great resource for all of us. So come on out and have some fun just hanging out. I'll post directions later today.

 

Aw man... I wish I could come out. I gotta work Sat. AM and I've already bought too much of my stereo equipment to put that off any longer for engine work. I will be down for one the next times around though! Ya'll have fun!

I might go, but I don't really like the 2 hours of purely highway driving to get over there. I really would enjoy seeing the MINI mechanicals, I get a kick out of seeing cars being worked on.

 

Maybe you can meet Dustin in Raleigh and ride w/ him

 

Would like to come, but the car is on the boat... and it does not need a pulley. Speaking of boats, the real reason I will not be there is I will be sailboat racing on the 10th. Looking forward to getting back with you guys once the car gets here.

I'm leaving around 7:30 to go to the pulley party - if anyone wants to link up to convoy over together just let me know.

I'm not getting a pulley installed (this time) but I'm going to learn more about the mechanicals and hang with some MINI peeps.

It was a great day! I think everyone had a blast! I'll post some pictures on our gallery soon.

I forgot all about it. The good news is that I gave HotRod a nice car wash and wax. This is the cleanest he's been since I drove him off the lot

HotRod... hmmm... Are you a Transformers fan? I'm a huge Transformers fan. My wife even has a yellow Beetle named Bumblebee. Her licence plate says BMBLEBEE.

I'm glad you guys had fun. Wish I coulda come out. Hopefully I can make it out for the meet & greet on the 24th. On a side note... I got my Amp this weekend so now I'm just waiting for my speakers to come in to the stereo shop. Hopefully have it all installed this week!

She's thinking hard about it. She's looking to get a new car within the next 6 months and can't decide between another Beetle or a Mini.
