Highest temperature according to OBC

I have had Nuprin for just about a year (b-day on the 25th), and there have been a few features that I haven't yet experienced. One of them is the Bing that you all say you get when the temp reaches, what is it, 37. I wouldn't believe you except so many have reported it happening.

Well, today I saw one of the highest numbers on my OBC. 121. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of it since my digicam is broke, but it truly said 121. Then I hit a pocket of chilled air when the reading dropped to 120 for about five miles, then right back up. At least its a dry heat.

Can anyone beat this? Anyone want to beat it?

Butch

My highest for the year so far is 117, shaping up to be a hot summer so I reckon it will be 120+ next month Buts its been 110+ every day for weeks already.

Worst thing is that soon it won't get below 90 at night...

Well here in south louisiana the hottest I've seen the obc get was 104. Of course that doesn't count for humidity which is allways like 120% LOL

104 today in Utah, with the top down.

I was surprisingly comfortable despite the heat. Thank you Space cloth seats!

Fortunately we don't get much higher than that around here...

I like leaving work every day at 5, and on the way home hitting the cold front like a brick wall - watching it dive 10-15 deg in a few SECONDS! Then putting up the windows for the afternoon torrential downpours of Tampa!

Its extra hot here in OKC but my MCS is lucky enough to stay in the garage on real hot days. Don't want the UV rays beatin down on the Chili Red paint.

That led to the highest reading i've seen -- 104 a couple weeks ago.

On the opposite note, the lowest i've seen is 9 sometime last winter. Love driving on those cold winter nites -- with that dry, cold air... wooh!

oh well...

I live in Palm Springs. I escaped the heat by heading to the twisties in the mountains, but I didn't stay away long enough. I just kept watching the numbers rise and saying to myself, this can't be right. Alas, it was accurate as always.

Yesterday when I started up the MINI to drive home, OBC showed 113 degrees. Of course, after driving a bit at spirited speeds, that dropped down to a cool 106.

When I drove home on my first cross-country trip, motoring through Palm Springs my OBC temp read 116...in May 2003! A/C was going full-blast and she was perfectly fine!

D'oh! So close...

121 - that's HOT.

On our road trip last year we hit 120 on our way to Las Vegas. For a couple from MN - that was blistering!

Here's the "easy to see" pic:

I did a little write-up of our trip in the Travel Stories section - feel free to check it out. Also, you can see the rest of our pics from this trip at the further above link (hopefully).

I've topped 100 several times here in DC. Radio usually reported actual temp around 90 or so.

Do you guys trust the temp portion of your OBC any more than you trust its mileage claims?
