Interior w Pepper White

OK - having driven my MA (and myself) crazy making up my mind on MC vs MCS, then ext. color, I'm decided on PW/PW MCS. Now tormenting myself trying to decide between gray/black leatherette & Cordoba Beige leather. I'm definitely going with anthracite dash/headliner, and chrome interior. Hard to find many PW on lots, let alone with cordoba, but seems like a natural combo. What do you guys think. I'm not concerned about the durability issue - I drive alone most of the time and regularly condition my cars' leather interiors. Think both look good- so what do you guys think?

I agree that the Cordoba/PW/PW is a natural combo, but I think PW/PW/Panther Black Leather would be really elegant, sophisticated, strong and less busy looking. Especially with the Anthracite dash/headliner and chrome interior.

My vote is the Panther Black leather.

PS I have CR/CR with Panther Black...although not a great pic and no chrome...you can check my gallery. If interested I might have a few more pix to post.

I have a pw/pw. I went though the same thought process. I ended up getting the black interior. Glad I did. Now my car is black and white. Introducing a third color would be too much. imho.

pw/pw with black and red part leather/cloth

since the rest of the car is going to be all white outside.. why not spice up the inside - i personally think black/red LOTH or black/blue leather would look pretty cool if not unique

I have seen the red interior, the beige interior and the I have the black interior. I like the looks of the beige, but the leather is a little, <cough> cheap. In fact, I have seen the pepper white dash(after market) and it looked sharp as well. I would say look at the quality of the materials before you choose.....it may or may not sway your decision. The red cloth is nice from a sweat factor, but then, it also holds more of the sweat odor.

Its a mini, make your choice and make it yours.

You won me . All black and all pepper white is the natural way to go, but with red or blue looks preety sharp as well.

I just thought. Can you get red with cordoba beige? or blue with cordoba beige?

I'd go with the gray/black leatherette. I'd get mad every time I looked at the inferior leather and thought about the $1400 bucks I paid for it.

thanks guys - that makes me wonder . . . I had a badly worn section of the leather seat in my ex's Lexus replaced at an auto upholsterly shop and it looked great - wasn't that expensive either. I like the feel of good leather upholstery in the seating area, but it's nearly always the outboard bolsters that wear first (rubbing from entry/exit). Soooo - I'm gonna check out whether possible and what it would cost to get interior portion of the seats upholstered with real, perforated, soft leather. Then, if I still want to do it after living with the leatherette for a while - custom mini.

IMO, if you can afford the leather, go for it. I have the cordoba beige leather with black accents and the Cordoba beige just gets softer and more beautiful with time. The leatherette has an odd almost plastic sheen to it...as well it should since it IS partly plastic and a discerning eye can just tell that it's not the real thing. The leatherette just never gets the beautiful patina that real leather does and there's nothing like the smell of real leather. So go for the cordoba beige leather. You'll have a classic combination.

I have a PW/B and chose the Red/Black half leather. I also had bought the red shirt **** and had my gauge rings painted chili red and I get lots of comments about it. Spices up the all black and white exterior, especially since I have tinted windows. If I had a good pic I'd post, but that would require a little cleaning first . The anthracite headliner is an excellent choice, really adds to the simeple black white effect. Long post short, all depends on if you want to keep the clean simple look throughout of just on the exterior. Either way you can't miss .

I have the black panther leather with crome interior. Check my sig for my vote. BTW whatever you get, you'll be happier than a pig in sh*t so don't oversweat it. I know you want to get it just right but when she/he comes she/he'll be your baby.

Lapis Blue!

I have an all pepper white MC with anthracite dash.

I went with the lapis blue leather, and wouldn't change it for anything. I get a lot of complements on it. The quality of the leather is excellent. (I don't like the cordoba beige -- too much like mustard.)

Lapis blue is nice with certain exterior colors. It certainly is a little less common than the beige but not at all as classic a color. In certain lights, it tends to look almost like turquiose plastic depending on the body color of the car.

PW/B with red/black interior

I wanted to add a little zip to the black and white. I have the anthracite dash. I agree that the Cordoba leather is very nice and it would certainly look great with the PW. I have issues with leather here in Arizona, though, and wanted fabric so as not to cauterize the backs of my legs in the summer (today is our 25 consecutive day over 100...the past week it's been about 108 most days. Leather really burns!!)

I don't know if you'll be able to see in the window in this photo, but here goes!

Truth be told, most leather IS partly plastic due to the tanning/chemical process that is used. There is basically a plastic layer on top of the leather that gives it it's patina and, to some extent, durability. Otherwise, it would look like nubuck or suede.

Back on topic - I think the Cordoba with PW is a fantastic combo! However, I had black leatherette for 3 years 41k miles in my Cooper and loved the low maintenance and the durability (not to mention no additional cost) - all while fooling most folks that it was indeed real leather - unless they outright asked, I didn't bother telling them otherwise. While the leatherette does not obtain the "worn" look that leather does, it looks brand new for much longer - which I personally liked even better.

I haven't yet seen the black/grey leatherette with an anthracite interior. I have also been wondering how it would look. Seems like it might not quite work - but I have to see it first.

I've got the Panther Black and have to admit that it's really hard wearing (36K and still looks new) but I have very little doubt that my next mini (or should I say its stablemate) will be PW with the Cordoba Beige Leather as it looks fantastic!

Really - they all look good so you can't go wrong.

can ya'll post pictures of red, cordoba, blue, and black with PW?

A friend of mine is also looking to get a PW (with black top) and is torn between the seat options. He didn't even think about blue til i sent him this thread, now he's dying to see that PLUS the beige, AND the black. I'm curious to see the red

It really depends whether or not you want a more "sporting" look. You opted for the MCS, so that is some indication that you are somewhat inclined to gravitate in the sporty direction. Therefore, I would suggest the black leather and not the beige. The contrast of the PW and black will look sharp, and it is a nice compliment to the black exterior trim too.

We just took delivery of our Pepper White MCS with a black roof. We went with the Black Leatherette, Anthracite Headliner, and Anthracite Trim. I'm very happy with the combination.

My wife has an 05 PW/B MCS that came with the gray & black leatherette interior (anthracite dash and headliner). She loved the look of the interior, but she really wanted heated seats and so we swapped them out for a set of heated lapis blue leather ones instead. They look awesome in the car! We would have ordered them from the factory, but we couldn't stand the blue carpet (and nearly all blue back seat). Now she has the lapis blue heated seats with black carpet (and a black leather rear seat) and it looks great! Here are some shots:

The grey & black leatherette looks really good too though. If you'd like to see what the car looked like with those seats in it, you can see pictures in the following thread:
