Gas stains under gas cap

I have a Pepper white/black MCS and Have 4 stain drip marks from gas. I tried a rubbing compond which did nothing. Anyone have any Ideas how to get rid of them?

Did you leave some gas there after a tank overflow spill while pumping?

Always clean up any gasoline spill, no matter how small it seems. I always make a point of carrying a bottle of quick detailer and microfiber towels with me at all times to clean up unexpected messes on the paintwork.

Maybe you will need to have it looked at by a professional detailer. The spots may need to be buff out by machine for better results.

One thing you should try though is clay bar. Clay bar can take of quite a bit and i think it worked on my sister's white accord. It took some time, but in the end it came out.

if that doesn't work, find someone with a machine, but the clay should work .

from now on, you should make sure to wipe it off as suggested. I got a PW as well. Power to the PW's. gotta keep em clean

Thanks for the feed back about the clay bar, I'll give it a try tomorow. I have always thought of myself as very careful when filling up the tank with all my cars but this is proof that I wasn't paying attention.

clay bar

after u use that clay bar, if it works keep it waxed cuz ur paint in that area will be thinner so it will be more prone 2staining again!

I find waxing works to keep most stains off the paint.
And using a QD spray to do touch ups.
Don't rub hard on anything.
