Hit and run!

My MINI got creamed last night. I left it sitting in a gas station parking lot and someone backed into my driver side door. Then they drove off. I can still open the door but it is pushed in pretty good.

Luckily the gas station had cameras and the fellon was easily found. He lived only a few miles away. I would post a pic but it's raining.

Does anyone know what a new door cost?

Will the police charge him with a crime?

Very sorry to hear about it. I expect the felon's or your insurance company take care of you. Your video evidence will be rock solid in terms of getting his insurance company to pay. Wish I had that in the past.

Will the police charge him with a crime?

Sorry to hear about the hit and run but so glad that the camera's allowed justice to be served and that jerk to be caught.

Ask around and find the best bodyshop you can and while its being fixed make sure his insurance pays for a nice rental.

Make sure to get a copy of the police report because your insurance company will require you to provide it.

This is an insurance covered incident all the way.

nope, thats the BMW price for the shell. you will probably need new window regulators and a side window, judging from the damage.

i would say slap on 150 for paint and 100-200 install and that would be a good estimate.
