I'm considering chroming my Cooper S by replacing the MCS grill with the chrome Cooper grill and replacing the boot handle with chrome, also.

One thing that has concerned me is that the MCS grill has one less slat and I don't know if the chrome Cooper grill will cause any overheating or performance loss due to the slightly reduced air flow. Was that one less slot more of a styling issue than a cooling issue?

Keep in mind, I'm not going to race this car. It will be a daily driver for me.

So, what do you guys think?

I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Thanks,
JS

It has been done before. If you want to know what it would look like then...

It was mainly a styling thing - to get more of the Classic/Heritage thing; the old standard minis had lots of slats, the Classic Coopers (& 'S's) had fewer, bigger slats, but airflow was the same - and didn't matter as much on those
