As usual, it was fun for most everyone. I forgot to count but I think it was just under a dozen MINIs. Mostly dry on Saturday but wet late in the day.....mostly wet on Sunday but a dry session or two in the early afternoon.
It was a very disappointing weekend for me as Casper developed a problem on the 1st green lap of the 1st session on Saturday. Looks likely to be a failure of the supercharger bypass valve.
I tried running the intermediate group in David's car but it was right after his run time and it just wasn't working out with the brakes. I was able to use Phil's school MINI for a few sessions but all in all, not so happy for me. I love the track at Kershaw and had been looking forward to it for several months.
I'll be back in September though.

Thanks for the update.
Sorry to here about Casper's illness. What a bummer.
I know that the rain can discourage people from going out, but a wet track is a great opportunity to learn how the car handles in less than perfect conditions.
Hopefully I will see you in Sept.

I like track, wet or dry. I do not like track with no car.
I don't think any of the MINIs bailed out. It was some of the open cars and the ones that didn't handle as well that loaded up.

It was incredible! I'm glad my instructor was patient... I'm sure there were a few times that he wanted to slap me . I had to learn to slow down to hit the corners right. When I went too fast I would lose concentration and miss a corner which would take me off line for the next corner or two.
The experience was amazing. Probably the most fun I have ever had. Now, to find a place to practice.
The wet condition on the last session really gave me more confidence in the car and my abilities. Suddenly driving home in the rain on a 70 mph highway didn't seem like that big of a deal. Ditto on the DSC post above!
I have a couple of pics that are "ok" at best. I'll post later.
I counted 14 MINIs... all S's while I was waiting. That number didn't include the intermediates that were on the track at the time.

A few pics
This is a pic of us waiting for inspection.

This is where we parked while waiting for our classes to be called to the track. The cars were so spread out it was hard to get a good photo.

They took photos of all the MINIs and drivers lined up in the pits, but I have no idea how to get a copy.
