*Nitrous oxide on the MINI???* please chime in

With all you guys that have No2, how is it working for your cars. I have had it b4 on a few of my own vehicals, But on a stock mini how is it holding or is that not Possible?? If it works on stock mini-S where did you put the jet? Pre-supercharger/b4 or after MAF. And or Direct port. On stock or Built Engine? Info is greatly needed.
I ws just wondering about the Spray b/c i have my old dry kit just sitting around and i wanna put it to use. Nothing Big tho......Maybe a 25/50 shot would be good for her. Like i said she likes to race her cars. She loves s/c'c and she loves Juice LOL Thanks Guys

Just jumping on the thread to see some info. I am not sure, but I think the Mini has a returnless fuel system. That would more or less require a wet kit since you really can't just bump up the fuel pressure that easily. I also assume the mini has all forged internals and a good 50 shot in the butt wouldn't hurt too much...though a 100 shot should be a lot of fun, but could be distructive!

Damn thats allot of money for a kit but i guess its the smart kit. I just have a dry kit from zex. So would that work b4 the supercharger. Like in between the IC and c/s ??? and would it harm the coating on the rotors in the supercharger. or will it be fine for like a 50/75 shot. and is WOT good for it or should i put a window switch for gear to rpm sprays??

Give me a call before you run a 100 shot. I've love to come out and see the sparks fly

The common place I've seen for the injection of nitrous is just after the intercooler, drilled and tapped into the horn.

Here are a few pics and tips for you. We mount our nozzel as shown . I would not advise going over 40 hp hit without going for bigger injectors to be safe. We have run 100 hp increases safely but with 400cc injectors.

We've got the M7 Venom kit. Can tell you that if you set up your Zex kit with a 50 shot WOT or less you should be fine. The M7 Venom "brain" that shuts off only on lean conditions has never worked right for us and continues to shut off our nitrous even though we know (measure) we don't have a lean condition. We have never got a full pull with it attached even using the small flow valves. So go figure! We just run without the "brain" (the expensive part) and are fine. Put the juice as shown by MaxMini. If you go to higher amounts of juice, you will need bigger than stock injectors for sure. Our M7 400cc revalves work very well on our highly mod'd car. Don't believe the propaganda about them possibly damaging due to the revalving process. They work fine. So it's either those or the non JCW 380's if you want to go to more than the 50 shot. If you are uncertain it would be good to check it on a dyno or put in a AFR gauge.

Good luck and may the juice be with you .

I have M7's Venom NO2 kit and a NOS purge valve to purge right underneath the windshield. The only engine-related mods I have on my car are: Shark injector (92 octane), NGK iridium plugs, Kingsbourne wires, Pilo coil, Mini Mania/K&N intake, 15% Alta pulley, and M7 180 degree thermostat. Honestly, in the two years that I have had NO2 I've only used it four times. The car ran smooth, no problems, glitches, hesitation, etc. One of these days, I'll install a cam, head, injectors, etc.

DaimlerChrysler engines are pretty tough. Read a different article like this one years ago and in that one the ATX started to slip: http://www.ag.auburn.edu/users/gparmer/articles/neon/

If that doesn't work: http://www.aces.edu/~gparmer/articles/neon/
