My doors wont lock/unlock with key

I've had my '05 MCSc 2 weeks now, and I just noticed this am that the luck/unlock buttons are not working on both keys that I have. The boot will also not unlock.

The driver side will lock/unlock using the key in the keyhole.

Has anyone else had this problem? I did a search.. no results.
Thanks!

Werid...your car is how old? Might want to call you dealer if its both keys. If it was just one then I would think that it was a battery. But with both keys acting funny I think something else is wrong.

Yes, me. Did they ever work? I had a spare key that did not work because the dealer never programmed it.

If it did work before and not now, maybe the internal battery is hosed.
If it never worked, it probably needs to be programmed at the dealer

Yep I had this problem last week in my '03 MCS. I suddenly could not remotely lock or unlock the doors with either of my keys. Turns out they needed to replace the "actuator" (in quotes because I am not sure what it is, or how to spell it). It took less than a day, and I am happily motoring and remotely unlocking and locking again.

We have a 2005 MCC and this has happened about four times (in six months), where the remote action just doesn't work. Each time they (both master keys) have come back/reset/whatever within a few moments. It's been random, driver's side, passenger, and boot and you can be right on top of the car when it happens. MINI X-files.
