M2C2 Zaino Detailing Clinic Saturday 8/6

I just received word from Steve Treece that our next M2C2 Zaino detailing clinic will be Saturday 8/6.

This is a member only event and will be our 4th one. We will only have room for 12 MINIs. As always we will be inside at Import Paint and Body in Charlotte thanks to Loren Koski.

We are full again.

More details to follow. Please see below

Sign up list (please post and I will add you to the list)

1. Randy M.
2. Smokey4
3. Tarzan
4. MININMAXXNC
5. TomCat
6. whskysouth
7. SoCar S
8. Audioman
9. Curvhugr
10. Kicksnake
11. MiniGamer
12. MINI Steve
Here is more information about the detailing clinic.

M2C2 Charlotte is hosting its 4th Detail Clinic. The clinic will be run by Steve Treece of Carolina Shine. Most of you know Steve as the local Zaino distributor. Loren Koski, owner of Import Paint and Body is allowing us to use his shop so that we will be inside. Loren is also an M2C2 member.

What: Zaino Clinic
When: 9:00 AM August 6th (Rain or Shine)
Where: Import Paint and Body Shop
6173 E. Independence Blvd.
Charlotte, NC

This is a full participation clinic featuring Zaino Bros' Show Car
Polish. Each participant will learn how to use clay bar on his/her own
car and they apply the appropriate Zaino polish(s). The most cars we can handle would be 12. Lunch will be provided for
the participants.

You will need to bring the following:
One towel for use while using clay bar
Enough towels to dry the car one time
At least one towel to use with Z-6
At least one towel for polish removal

All of the Zaino products will be available for purchase the day of the
event. We ask that you purchase your products from Steve at the detail clinic. This is how Steve is able to provide the clinic to us, the location and the lunch. If you haven't used Zaino before, you should expect to spend $70to $80 dollars depending on whether you have a light colored car or a dark one.

Also available are micro fiber towels manufactured by DF Towel. The
fabric for these towels is made in Italy, and shipped to the U.S where
they are made into towels. Zaino has recently endorsed the use of these
with his polish products. These can be pre-washed and available for your use on Aug06. A recent price reduction form the manufacturer makes these very affordable:

Medium Small 19.5x19.5 $ 9.75
Medium 29x16 $11.00
Wax Applicator Pad $4.25 (These feature a washable cover)

A select group of the earlier weave towels will be available at bargain prices.

The medium is a tremendous all-around towel for either removing polish or use with Z-6 Gloss Enhancer or Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal. My recommendation would be one or two Medium size and at least two Medium Small towels. The Medium Small is my personal favorite for everyday use. Anyone wanting these ready for use the day of the
event should e-mail me directly and I'll have them pre-washed and ready
to go. No payment necessary until 08/06. You can read about these at
www.dftowel.com. These are far too nice to use while claying, so bring
something else for that. If you see anything else at the DF Towel web
site that you would like, please let me know at least two weeks in
advance.

DF Towels latest offering is the best , and last, hose nozzle you will ever buy. They are made of brass and stainless steel and coated to prevent nicking your car should it come into contact with the surface. Price is $25.70.

Please add one more item to the DF products. Their "Glass Shine" is now available in a concentrated form complete with spray bottle. Just add water. The price is $6.65

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions at all. Also
available from me is 3M Paint Protection Film. Visit my web site at
www.ultrashieldofcharlotte.com for more information.

There is a wealth of information about Zaino at www.zainostore.com. If you've not used Zaino before it benefit you to spend a little time there to acquaint yourself with the products and how to use and apply them. Don't anyone take this personally, but I plan to take the car in need of the most help and use it as a "demo" car. Not only will this car get the clay bar treatment, but I will also demonstrate the effectiveness of Zaino's newest product, PC Fusion, on that car.

Thought you would be pleased to know that Leo Cerruti of DF Concours Towels is sending us "Make It Shine" hats for our clinic! This is very generous of him.

Regards,

Steve Treece

Excellent I learned a lot at the one I attended.

Is there any chance that a clinic can be held in the Greenville, SC area? We have a lot of active members here who cannot get to the Charlotte area.

I am sure Steve would be willing to have one in Greenville, but we would need to find an indoor place to have it.

I will also try to find some place in the upstate that we could use. We would need a place big enough to hold 10 to 14 MINIs.

Thanks

I'll contact our friends at Automotive Accents to see if they have enough room.

pwjcw and Kicksnake

You both are on the list. I have taken myself off the list, but will be there to help Steve. This means we have one more space. If someone on the list will be unable to attend please let me know so that we can make your space available to someone else.

I will be posting more information very soon. Please remember that Steve will have all the Zanio products that you will need at the clinic, so make your purchase at the clinic, not online. Steve will also be providing our lunch.

Steve is providing the space (thanks to Loren Koski) the help, instruction and the lunch. In return Steve needs us to buy our Zaino products from him. This 4th Zaino detailing clinic will be a fun and informational event that you will be glad you participated in. Your MINI will thank you for it.

George,
Put me down please. I'll need some help though on costs of products I'll need. Trying to save up for the necessities: clay, polish, etc.

I think to get the basic Zaino products you need you are looking at around $60.00. The great thing about Zaino is you only use a small amount, so that will last you a long time.

The first time you use Zaino it is nice to have some hands on instruction.
This will be the clubs 4th clinic and the other 3 have been a big hit.

Please feel free to PM me if you need more information.

George I look forward to this,
If you guys saw my car, you would be very surprised how neglected it feels. I have had no time for it, add that to travel and that makes for one sad MINI....

I look forward to seeing you again, its been awhile. I always remember your MINI being clean, but I know what traveling does to a car.

I get teased alot about my MINI always being clean. The secret for me has been the Zaino. You get it clean with the clay bar and keep it protected with the Zaino and it's easy to keep it looking good with a weekly Zaino car wash bath.

You will be pleased with the results.

See you soon.

I know.... I am ashamed of myself.... seriously.
Your right travel will get your car diiiiiirty! Especially being in Chucktown every week.

You could write your name on my car it's so flithy. Gonna try and revive it this weekend. The only reason I didn't bathe it this weekend was no Griots Wheel Cleaner... Non-Caustic and BBS endorsed!

Hopefully that will come and it will get a proper bath.

I look forward to seeing you again as well. I am trying to restore my "mini" blood. Business, kids, and the likes have sapped that dry...

We have one member who will not be able to make the event due to travel.

That means we have one more space.

Please let me know by posting here if you would like to join us.

Thanks
George
