We may stay Sat night and take in some local entertainment.

I was thinking of Jillian's at Concord Mills Mall.
It should be early enough to get in the place on a Saturday afernoon.

Any additional thoughts or better ideas?
I'd love to join you all, but I'm hosting a party Saturday evening
... sorry no 'MINI dudes/dudettes'...
though it would sure turn some heads with a dozen or so gorgeous, sparkling MINIs out front! Have fun

I like the proposal, but Concord Mills is a haul from Independence (and in the opposite direction from me). Maybe something closer to Hendricks? There's an Olive Garden pretty close. Or maybe someone knows of a good Mexican restaraunt?

I'm Game!... get it? Jillian's... game.

I don't have any alternative suggestions that could accommodate other's wishes.
Though my vote would be for entertainment in addition to food.
I guess we just plan on doing something and discuss specifics at the event.

Cheers

This might turn into an additional Charlotte Chapter M2C2 MINI event. We might find some MINIs that come for the Saturday night events and not the detailing clinic.

I will check with the war department and see if we can join you.

Keith, I don't think there is anything that turns you upside down at Jillians, so I should be safe there.

We have missed you.

I am very sorry to hear about you Mother. My Grandmother is going to be 102 in September and she is also from Ohio.

I glad you and Mr. Cooper will be at Import Paint and Body to greet us on Saturday.

See you then.

So... we are in Charlotte tonight... The Concord Mills area is crazy!!! Tomorrow will likely be worse with the Tax-free weekend going on.

I retract my suggestion about coming here after the clinic.

Unbelievable!

What a great event--extremely informative! Thanks to Steve Treece of Carolina Shine/Ultrashield of Charlotte for the hands-on clinic with the fantastic Zaino line of products.

The results were jaw-dropping! Cars from 02's to 05's looked as if they belonged on the new car show-room--no exhageration!

TARZAN got his share of elbow grease, including Z-PC Fusion swirl remover applied with an Porter-Cable DA polisher, and 3 coats of Z-5 polish activated with ZFX.
Tomorrow AM I am going to apply 3 coats of Z-2 Pro with ZFX before work. Yes, I know--it was my decision to order a JB/JB MINI...

Steve demonstrated the process on Keith's JB/W MINI with white stripes, and the results were astounding! So smooth!

I think Kicksnake's yellow MINI was the most transformed from before/after. Electric Blue MINI's like Dinger28's looked liquid after the polish.

MININC, MINIMAXXNC, and Smokey's DS MINI's looked brand new. George, Austin is the coolest kid! He seems genuinely into cars, and shows no hint of getting bored or acting like he is being dragged along to these events. He's got a great work ethic too! My nephew Mark Jr. gets bored too quickly and starts campaigning to leave, so I don't bring him along much.

Big thanks to Lauren for the use of his indoor shop, Import Auto Body, complete with pressure washers, fans, facilities, and lunch room.

A few of us enjoyed Rootbeer Floats afterwards at A&W.

I wouldn't miss another Zaino clinic for the world!

Thanks to all who participated today! The results were amazing...especially the cars that got the PC Fusion...that stuff is killer!!

Those who live out of town can visit my web site at www.zainocharlotte.com when you need refills. PayPal is accepted.

Weren't there one or two others who were interested in the Detailing Tote? I can get those, it will just take a couple of weeks as these are custom made.

Special thanks to MININC for setting this up!!

The biggest thanks of all go to Loren Koski and Import Paint & Body. None of this would have been possible without his generosity!!!

Wow! What a great detailing clinic! This has been our 4th M2C2/Zaino Detailing Clinic. Each clinic seems to get better and better. I can't say thank you enough to Steve Treece, his wife Leslie and to Loren Koski (the owner of Import Paint and Body and M2C2 member) for hosting this event for our club. We are very fortunate because of the size and reputation of M2C2 that people like Steve and Loren provide the opportunity for us to have such great events.

I would also like to thank all M2C2 members who came today. The results on everyone's car was fantastic! Zaino is a truly fantastic product made only better by the hands-on instruction on how to apply it correctly.

Tarzan - Thanks for your nice comments about my son, Austin. He truly loves coming to all M2C2 events and loves working on the MINIs. Austin was asked by Randy and Judy Mullins if he would do the detailing on their MINI at the clinic. They had a training workshop to attend just a couple of miles up the street. Since I was doing my car myself, that left Austin to do their car on his own. I was proud that a twelve-year old took on the responsibility by himself of washing, clay barring, and applying 3 coats of Z2 along with applying Grande Finale. He also did the windows, the wheels, a coat of tire gloss and applied dressing to the trim. He did an excellent job on the car and Randy and Judy were very pleased when they returned.

Smokey - Sorry to hear that your car got rained on before you got home but what a great excuse to get to clean your MINI again!

SoCar S - We missed having you at the clinic but hopefully we will see you at another event soon. Steve is willing to go to other cities where we have Chapters to conduct more M2C2/Zaino Detailing Clinics. Our only problem is finding an indoor facility that we can use. We think we have one lined up for Greenville and hope to be doing one there soon.

Sarah - Thanks for being at "Saturday Morning at Hendrick MINI" and then coming to add some morale support at the clinic. I love the way you decorated the Honda that was in the way of our MINI picture. Thank you for also picking up Randy and Judy from their workshop.

I hope all 12 M2C2 MINIs that attended enjoyed it as much as I did. It was great to see all of you today.

Trainman - I have your Elvis eyewear and your tire gloss. I will catch up with you in Greenville this week.

Thanks
George

I'm happy you all enjoyed the event today. I couldn't make it, but I'm glad to know my spot was filled. I'm sure there's another Zaino convert because of it.

Just a quick word here about Steve & Leslie Treece and Loren Koski: As many of you have stated, they are great friends to M2C2 and its members. But it goes way beyond that. The detailing clinics they're providing are just a small indication of the way they treat their customers day in and day out.

When you go to Carolina Shine for Zaino or Ultrashield of Charlotte for paint protection film, you're going to get more than your money's worth. I speak from experience when I say this. They're first class all the way.

The same is true about Import Paint & Body. Charlotte traffic has generously provided me with several occasions to visit their shop. And, I've always been thrilled with the results. So when I got my MINI, I jumped at the chance to have Loren's crew do the Aero kit.

These are the kind of individuals I'm proud to recommend to my family and friends. I hope you'll do the same.

Jack,
I would love to see what zaino is all about.
Maybe I can catch up with you sometime later next week.

I currently use griots products, but would love to see how the zaino product works. I could convert with one exception.... Griots BBS endorsed wheel cleaner. Non-Caustic, gentle on the wheels, great product.

Maybe we could get a few minis together for a little gathering of our own since that is rare to non-exsistent in Cola.

Thanks,
GP

Ok, I am disappointed to hear about the great time everyone had, because I could not attend. I am ready to start planning the next one! Any takers?

Great Day!

Just wanted to add my .02 about the Zaino detailing clinic yesterday...

It was a great day!! How awesome is that to see MINI owners working as a team washing eachothers cars. It was good meeting everyone and learning the technique.
Special thanks to Steve and Leslie for the program (and lunch) and of course to Loren for loaning us a great place to work out of the sun.

I really was blown away at how different the paint finish looked on everyone's car at the end of the day.
(Dinger/Tim you better be careful driving around at night, you gonna blind someone)

Here are a couple of shots...

How many MINI's can you fit in one room?
(I lost count after 12)

This MINI owner looks happy....
look at that shine (Chris hopefully your ok with me posting this shot)

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to say that I had a great time at the Clinic. It was great seeing the gang again and meeting some new folks. We've got such a great community here.
Thank you Steve for your hard work on my car, I have never seen it soooo slick and shiny. That Z8 is amazing. I think I finally got the hang of the process. Leslie, the eats and hospitality were yummy. Thanks to Loren for letting us invade the shop for an afternoon and George for putting this thing together.
I can't say enough for this product! It really does what is says it will. I have never seen such deep shines on yellow and white cars before. Absolutely incredible. Our cars looked better than ones off the showroom, they looked Concours quality.
Look at this

Sara(h), Great job on the PhotoShop... very phuny:smile:

I've uploaded a few more pics to my gallery.
