If any MINI owner in the Charleston area can assist with advise, I'll be eternally grateful.
I loaned My 05 cooper to my daughter and boyfriend this weekend to attend a wedding in Charleston, after she was side impacted by a undocumented alien w/ no insurance on Tuesday, in Birmingham.
Well, she had fender bender yesterday in the MINI. Seems she reared ended a car @ stop light. She was going slow, (air bag didn't deploy), but the front bumper is ruined, and there is some problem w/ fluids leaking from the front end. Probably coolant. At any rate wrecker towed the car to Barber Chevrolet (I think this the right name) Tow guy said they did the body work for BMW, MINI as well as GM vehicles.
My request is for advise regarding where I should in fact take the car for repair. Perhaps minimal repair to allow her to return to Alabama, where I can have body work performed, or hopefully just replace the bumper w/ Aero bumper. Since this occured on Friday after 5:00 We maybe out of luck on any help before Monday. Also a name and number for The local mini dealer might help.
