One might even choose a car based upon such a resource . Nice find Andy!

I've been lurking on the Pontiac Solstice forums for about a year, and with that new and very rigid Kappa frame, along with an Ecotec powerplant, I've been thinking that I might have found my RWD Summer machine, with some mods.

I downloaded it and got garbled text- all of the letters heaped up on one spot to the far left of each page.

The pictures were nice.

OK lets make one for the new MINI.
For MC:
115 to 200 HP
201 to 300 HP

For the MCS
163 to 200 HP
201 to 300 HP
301 to 450 HP
Over 450 HP

Not sure what you would use a 450 HP MINI for except for track use but it would be neat to see and hear.

This is extraordinary. BMW would never put something like this out. I'm pulling for GM to come up with a handling car like the MINI. Certainly they have the knowledge and hotrodding experience to pull it off. To think of all the money and stress and enginuity expended on these boards to get 50 more HP, when it seems like a drop in the bucket relative to the potential of this GM vehicle (and the Neon).

The above-referenced Pontiac (GM) Solstice should handle very nicely. The chassis is said to be very stiff, and throw-in that it has a F/R weight distribution of about 50/50, RWD... and with that 2.4 liter... I think a few just hit the roads this past week! Supposedly, a 250 bhp turbo is slated for next year.

GM, Mopar and Ford have such extensive resourses such as this, and it's easy to become spoiled with it. I know all too well. Coming into the MINI world I felt like we are all fending for ourselves and making our own pioneering gains and mods. No grassroots involvement by BMW (save for the cautious progress by JCW) like this for us.

WOW - impressive document.
Maybe if we had "MINIPar" it would make things too easy kinda dilutes "the journey" if you know what I mean. On the other hand it would take everything - even Board discussiones to a new level. Resulting in me not understanding anything.

The dinan site kinda parrallels this concept as well as some vendors who offer "stage kits" but this is so extensive it makes the comparison weak.

Hubie told me an Arizona dealer can sell track ready cars; don't know exactly what the means though. maybe no AC, stripped interior, etc.
