Quarterly meeting in Charlotte, June 4th
Quarterly meeting in Charlotte, June 4th
Hi fellow M2C2 members,
My apologies for getting this out so late and with the changes involved. We ran into a scheduling conflict down in Columbia and had to make some last minute changes. Many thanks and a huge "hats off" to Ed at the Charlotte dealership for stepping up and allowing us to gather there once again.
The Quarterly meeting is now been confirmed for Saturday, June 4th at Hendrick MINI in Charlotte, NC. The meeting time will be at 1pm. We will be discussing recent changes in the club and laying out some details of upcoming events. If you need directions or further information feel free to contact your chapter VP or myself.
George informed me this morning that Hendrick's will also be offering a special M2C2 member discount at the MINI Boutique there. There may be some other surprises offered there as well, but, you'll have to show up to find out.
I also wanted to mention The upcoming Matthews Auto Reunion on Sat June 11 in Matthews, NC. Further information on this event can be found on this thread

In closing I'd like to thank everyone who's helped with my transition into the presidency of M2C2. I look forward in doing some great things with everyone in the future. Remember, if you hear of something of interest or have an idea about an event feel free to let other people know. While we, your officer's, are working on some bigger things for the near future, most of our clubs events are thought of and organized by you, our members. Keep up the good work! It's all appreciated by everyone

Sorry--let me put a smiley face or something up there in my post. I posted under the wrong thread and then I couldn't just erase it.

Yeah, With everything going on at this time of year, a sudden schedule change will throw a spanner in the works.. Ah well, look on the bright side. It give me a free weekend to get ready for the PKI/Memphis road trip!!

Hey Keith, glad you're going to be able to be there! Look forward to seeing you.
Bob,
I have an agenda item for the meeting. I noticed at the Dragon that a number of clubs had shirts with their club logos on them which was pretty cool. Also, clubs that are attending the event at PKI are being encouraged to wear their club shirts. Why don't WE have club shirts?
I may have asked this before but I don't remember the answer. Anyway, what's the possibility of us getting some shirts printed up before leaving for Ohio? I think we need them to properly represent M2C2. I know shirts are probably the least of our issues right now but I would like it discussed on the 4th.
See you all then.

We have club t-shirts avaliable at the club website through Cafe Press. I personally am not that crazy about them, so I haven't bought one..

Keith, glad you'll be able to make it.
Eric, as Ed stated, for the present time the Cafe Press site offers our merchandise. We can possibly discuss improvements to the merchandise offered there.

Eric, Ed, Bob--
George, I believe, had said something about giving the Cafe Press business to an embroidering shop--does anyone remember the name of the shop? I have a pm into him about this from earlier today because another club had inquired about our satisfaction with the Cafe Press shop.
I think some kind of shirt is a fantastic idea.

If someone can explore this option and gather all the particulars (costs, quantities, etc..) we can go over them at the meeting. I'm not truly familiar with the Cafe Press deal, but I believe there's no up front costs to the club with them.

They charge a one time $100.00 set up fee then if I bring the shirt it is $10.00 per item or order from them it is $9.00. The charge can very depending on logo. I was told that if you paid to have the set up down at one store other stores could use it.
They can also do silk screen items.
They do a great job on my company stuff. I will bring more info to the meeting.
If we wait until the June 4 meeting to discuss this, will we be able to get the shrits in time for the PKI event? If not, we may want to improvise by picking a shirt color to wear. Something neon-ie and bright.
I perfer embroidering to screen printing. It looks richer, lasts longer, and breathes better.
