Lakeview Parking
Lakeview Parking
We have been living in Naperville this past year and are ready to move into the city. Currently the MINI is garaged, however we will most likely be moving into a vintage condo type building that will not have a parking structure. Right now it looks like the street is fairly full, and I am not sure the car would fair too well out there
.
Does anyone know of some parking areas (pay by month preferred) in the 3400 or so block near lakeshore? It does not need to be indoors, just a dedicated parking spot that I can park the MINI in, with a car cover of course!
Thanks,
Peter

Well you have a few options. Some apartment buildings will sub-lease parking spots. A friend of mine at Belmont and Addison did that for a covered (tho not a true garage) spot for $120/mo. You can also park under the CTA tracks, which is a little ghetto, but spots can be had for $100/mo. I cover often, particularly when I go out of town. Outside and under a tree, birds seem to think it's a great toilet
But agreed about street parking, it's a car massacre!
Be careful, tho, covering when it's dirty can actually do more harm then good... I use a sunshade for the windshield the rest of the time...
