Friends, today was a grest day, not only did I test drive a MINI S for the 5th time, (yes the dealer and I are now pals, at least until I take delivery in October of my MINI S) but I went head to head in a test of handling VS. a BMW Z3 and KICKED ITS ***! I haven't had that much fun since prom night in High School. I will say that I probably had a slight advantage over the Z3 in that I have been racing modified VW's for the last 10 years, but so what, I egged on the driver in the Z3, who didn't take me too seriously at first, but when I swooped on him in a hard cornering turn, he was PISSED, snd so it began. Yeah in the stright aways he beat me, but as soon as I saw him slow down for a S curve, I went for the jugular, and when we came to a red light I looked at him and all I said was, "Let's Get Ready To Rumble"
nothing but a smile from him, but I think he soon realized that the MINI, though small in stature, was no joke.

If only we could skip summer and October would arrive, "sigh"

That's cool that you raced VWs....we are possibly converting one of our old GTi's into a one we can race!
