front end vibration after replacing runflats

Hey guys,

I need your help. On Saturday I flated on the freeway and yes i was traveling about 80 mph whenthe tire failed. Front Right. I slowed and then pulled over to confirm, but I needed to drive 15 miles to the tire shop, but I was going very slow but the front end felt like it was takng a pounding.

Well I decided to replace all the tires and wheels, I moved up to 215s and then when I drove off there was a very noticeable vibration and it feels worst on the right side.

I had the tires rechecked for balance and that helped slightly.

Could I have trashed the alignment? done damage someplace else? need your thoughts on this.

You can really feel and see the vibration in the steering wheel, speeds as slow as 40 all the way to 70 but after 70 it goes away. Help please.

You may have bent a rim ever so slightly and that will cause that problem, had the same thing happen to one of my R90s. So I replaced them with kosei K1 TS

He said he replaced the wheels also.

In my opinion, either you have a balancing issue or else you did not get hubcentric rings with the wheels. A last possibility is that you did get hubcentric rings but they were the plastic type and they aren't doing the job, in which case you should get a set of metal rings.

Hope this helps.
