The MINI is featured in a 2-page spread in the current issue of Freeway Latino Magazine (Abril 2005 vol 1 no 4). The magazine is a freebie that's apparently available in the Sacramento CA area. I have no idea where exactly they're available -- one of my neighbors was nice enough to drop one in my mailbox!

The MINI is acvtually featured three times -- on the cover, in the two-page spread with lots of piccies, entitled MINI solo de nombre (??) and as one of the cars selected as "Los 10 autos mas famosos del cien". Unfortunately my Spanish is pretty much limited to what I've learned on this forum (thanks, 1miniGrl!) so I can't tell you what they're saying about the MINI!

Supposedly there's also a website, www.freewaylatino.com, but it doesn't seem to be up and running yet...

 

well i do know the second quote means the 10 most famous automobiles..

 

Has anyone tried to get a copy yet?

EEK! I'll keep my eyes open, but the truth is that I have absolutely no idea where to look! My bad, really, for being so out of touch with the other cultures that share my city.

But now that I look more closely, there are a few hints within the magazine that I can follow up on... the Directoria Automotriz, for example, and... at the end of an appropriately illustrated ad seeking the next Miss Freeway Latino... a phone number!

Are we sure this isn't a MINI hoax? I've tried to get on the website many times and emailed the publisher and had my mail returned as there was no existing address Strange...very strange....

 

Stranger things have happened, and I do have rather creative neighbors ! However, I don't think I've done anything to warrant a 32-page hoax . I tried to post a pic but haven't figured out how to do that. I'll see if I can't hit some of the merchants in the Directorio Automotriz for some extra gratis copies (shameless!)...

Any other 916-ers out there seen this magazine?
