Collector Roll Call

It has been quiet in here for the past week. I was wondering who visits this forum and what kinds of stuff you collect.

I'll start. I collect almost anything MINI. I focus on printed materials, especially brochures, print ads, magazines (GoMINI and MINIInternational), press kits, books, and catalogs (Moss, Mini Sport, etc.) I collect all of the MINI product bottles (oil, wheel cleaner, etc.), pens, and some random marketing and MINI dealer items. I mainly collect die-cast cars in Hot Wheels/Matchbox/JL size. Since I have an interest (and contacts) in Germany, I collect a lot of German MINI stuff.

Another Collector checking in. I collect anything and everything MINI I can get my hands on (and afford - LOL)!!! But James - you are the KING of collectors. I don't think I'll ever come close to having what you do....

And I want you to know that I greatly appreciate everything you post that you find.....all the work you've done putting the Hunters Guide together, etc. etc. Great job....

I was collecting IB/W Cooper diecast...various scales. Now I seem to be collecting MINI Scalextric cars....love the awesome replicas of authentic, full-race John Cooper Challenge cars. Very cool. (...also had to build a track for them though.) I also have a bunch of early articles and other MINI stuff, but I'm not collecting really. Maybe I should post a list in case any of you collectors want some of it??? (...read "free stuff!")

My name is Andrew R and I'm a MINIholic.

Hi Andrew

I collect anything MINI or Mini that seem like a reasonable price. I have lots of Hot Wheels/JL/Matchbox size, 7 different sizes of remote control MINIs, ads, old Mini magazines....

Hi All! Another Collector checking in!!

I'm the MINI ad-aholic!! I collect MINI USA ads but will also collect from other countries. I have a small collection of MINI PR/Marketing goodies, catelogs, magazines, CD's, etc. I'm excited that I received my MINI CCC DVD today! It helps with my daily MINI fix! Especially when there are no new posts here in the MINI Collectibles forum!!!

about six years ago, i started collecting tonka trucks from the 40s - 60s. when i bought my cooper in 2002, i started to lose interest. last year when i decided to buy a classic mini, i started selling the tonkas. the classic is just about paid off. you can see my collection of tonkas at www.tonkatoys.com. i guess i now collect minis, but i only have the two... so far.

I have an IB/W MINI Cooper and would like to collect all of the die-cast cars in that color scheme. Do you have a list of what you have? Thanks!

am I really considered a "collector" if I like to take all of my toys out of their original packaging a play with them instead of preserving them as mint in box?

I do keep my toys all lined up in a glass case, so maybe that counts for something

On any that I can, I try to get a spare one so I have one to play with and one "mint". Always open the one with the box in the worst shape.

I hope that removing the ads from the magazines doesn't negate me from being a "collector"!!! I like being able to really "look/play" with my collection of MINI stuff!!!!

And by the way....to all you lurkers...come on 'fess up and come out of the boot! We see that there are about 80 hits to this thread and its not just the few of us who have responded to the roll call! Come on out and motor/collect with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best finds for Mini miniatures is at the BMW Rolex Labor Day weekend at Limerock. Some are pricey but there are some good finds (Mr. Bean Mini from Corgi). Some of the prices are a little high but you can get some good finds!

Hi ... I guess I count as a collector
Only really collecting "paper stuff" - press releases, official booklets, a few adverts. Not particularly into model cars (prefer the real thing!)

I have it in French and English. It's a good read. Made me go read some other stuff by Val McDermid. I might even have the PDF file somewhere if anyone is interested.

Hi everyone, I'm a collector as well, started last year. Mainly MINI stuff from Japan. Magazines, die cast, plastic models, MINI JP promotional literature, stickers, etc. Each trip there, I search out a different MINI tuner shop and look for things I can't get here in the USA.

Hey Paul. How many issues of MINI Spirits do you have? I have vol. 01 through 04 which are from 2003, but don't know how many were published after that. Are they still running?
