M7 Ultimate Grilles

In case you all didn't see the announcement: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=40570

Hooray! Finally some high-quality replacement grilles!

Now, to the M7 folks, could you post some more pics? I've heard nothing but good things about the lower grille, and I would like to get some aftermarket upper and middle grilles, but I need more photos!

Do you have some that are more close-up? Any pics of the black version? (Didn't see any on your website)

What's everybody else think?

Here is a close up of the M7 grills on my car.

The fit is great and the look is stunning.

Thank you Bill, that's a great shot of the grilles....

As for now silver is all I have photos of, as Bill got the first set available
in the whole wide world

We should have production units in both Black and Silver available next week.

Sincerely

peter

The two upper grills are not my style but I've always loved the lower.

Does anyone have pics of the REARS? Those are the ones in desperate need of replacement!

Do you get any increased wind noise with the rears (assuming they are an open design) when replacing the solid black plastic rear inserts?

BTW, I've seen Bill's car in person, and when I saw them on his car, I said to myself "I have to have those." I can't wait for the black ones

How are they installed? Is a professional installation required (i.e. - cutting, etc.), or is it "bolt-on"?

Thanks!

anyone with a ds/w mcs with the black upper and middle grille? i have the lower grille in black.. but these look almost like the aero grilles.. what you guys think... should i go silver in the top and middle, and stay with black at the lower grille to match the black moldings?

Randy at M7 has the upper and middle grilles on his DS/B S I believe. You might want to PM him (maxmini) and see if he's got any pics you can see :D

It would be great if Randy could post some pictures. That's exactly the same color as my car.

Here are a few shots of mine. The top grill on my prototype piece is a little short from top to bottom so the gap is larger than the production ones.

Ultimates

Although the upper and middle grills look pretty good on Randy's ride, they don't look as good as the lower one. Here's mine with the Aero grills.

The prototype grille seems a little wavy as well. Is it, or is that just the light? If it is slightly wavy, will the production ones be that way too?

Thanks!

The prototypes was made for fittment purposes not "good looks"

we call them Ultimate because they are, no wavy welds or odd fittment
problems.....just perfection.

Peter,

What colour would you say would look best on an Electric blue car? I am swaying towards black myself...Does the kit include the upper/lower front and the two rear meshes? (sp?) I have black/silver 18s as well on my car (please see my gallery) if that helps when trying to conjure up an overall mental picture

Thanks,

Henry

aero front

Hi Peter, Will the uppers work with the Factory aero kit? I know the bottom won't. Do you have any plans on making them for the bottom of factory aero kit?
Thanks

Hi Guys....

Looking at your car I would go with black, it will accent the black trim
around the car better.

As for the aero kit, as far as I know the upper and middle works great but
not the bottom. We have no plans to manufacture the lower parts for
the aero kit, not because we cant, but we get so few inquires regarding that part that it does not make sense business wise.
