mine (pre-installed by dealer) didn't. I thought it was suppose to come with one, but didn't really care to ask.

I think it looks pretty cool (aftermarket style) without it too. :smile:

 

No, they are actually a separate part number. I believe the sills (for aero kit) retail for about $27 each and need to be ordered along with the kit.

 

Mine does not have sill plates either...

 

My side skirts don't either, just plain red.

 

This is just one other thing I wish I had researched before I got mine.

I think the 05's do. Every 05 i have seen even the ones at the dealer waiting for delivery that just came off the truck have them.

 

They do not come with the aero kit, but it's easy to reuse your old ones. I found some really thin double sided tape and stuck them back on after I cleaned off all the old thick double-sided tape. It worked well. I used a pudy knife to take them off with out bending them. Several passes with light pressure and they come right off. Hope that helps!:smile:

The aero skirts come "nude".

You can always do custom sill plates out of stainless steel and double stick tape them down.

Do some unique paint job on the plates or engrave them (expensive since so large) or laser finish them in 3-D relief (really expensive but a neat idea)

How about a Carbon Fiber plate?

How about a plate with your name or your MINI's name on it?

Lighted plates, glow in the dark plates, blinking plates, plates that play music when you open the doors, plates that flip up on a hinge to reveal a secret storage area!
