3 Minis is one to many

Not enough garage space and niether my wife nor I are willing to let go of our new MINIs, so..... my 1959 Morris Mini is on the blocks. Ebay blocks that is. If you're in the market for one of the best Mk 1's in the country, check it out.

has to be this one! Looks like one of the best around!

1959 Morris Mini

Maybe you can give me a discount for finding the link to it? It is gorgeous and I am going to be in Alb. NM in a couple weeks visiting another Mini friend (assuming I can find him!)

Nice!

Man if I only had an extra 7500 bucks. Dang... good luck selling, you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

How about copy-pasting the info & pics for those of us who can't access Ebay from work?

Ian, it's green with red interior - right hand drive; currently $7500 but reserve not met.

Say “hi” to Thatcher!! Thatcher is a completely rebuilt 1959 MK1 Morris Mini. He was found in the desert near Tucson Arizona in late 2003. He had been neglected for many, many years. But, due the dry heat in southern Arizona, Thatcher was in remarkable condition. All of the rubber seals and gaskets were crumbling but his body and most components were in pristine condition. In other words, there was no rust...zero, zip, nada! A perfect candidate for a total ground up restoration. Thatcher was built for fun and driving in a vintage rallye style, i.e. the drive train is Cooper "S" specs. That being said, he is an original 1959 body shell with no body modifications. Restoration was done in late 2003 and early 2004. He was completely disassembled and plastic media blasted to bare metal. All metal pieces and parts were bead blasted to bare metal and repainted before re-assembly. All major components were rebuilt or replaced with new plus, all rubber seals and gaskets are new. His colors are Brooklands Green, white top with red interior and accents. The following is some insight as to the extent of restoration: Engine and transmission; 1293cc high performance engine and rebuilt transmission supplied as a unit from Seven Enterprises in April 2004. The power unit now has about 3000 miles on it. Power is in the 90hp range. Additional restoration items and features include: HIF44 1.75” SU carb, K&N Filter, stub stack. Ultimate engine steady. Lucas electronic distributor. Maniflow LCB header and exhaust. Super 2 core radiator. Tropical fan. New Kevlar radiator hoses. Rebuilt starter and alternator. 4 new 4.5 x 10 minilife wheels with new 165/70-10 Yokohama A008 tires. New bumpers. Adjust-a-ride suspension. Adjustable tie rods. Adjustable rear suspension brackets. New suspension bushings. Subframes sandblasted and repainted. New Cobra Classic low back seats. New red carpet set and new red interior panel kit. 4 point roll bar. New Auto Meter Tachometer. Garmin GPS, New Bosch coil. New air/fuel ratio gauge (O2 sensor). Wood and alloy Moto-Lita steering wheel. New Crow 2” red racing style seat belts. New Cooper S 7.5” front disc brakes with new 4 pot calipers, all new brake lines and steel braided brake hoses. Cooper S rear brake drums. New wheel bearings at all 4 corners. New Clutch and Brake master cylinders. New complete wiring harness. Oversized 9.5 gallon fuel tank. New choke, heater and accelerator cables. New light, wiper and brake light switches. Rebuilt wiper motor. Rebuilt heater box. Raydyot spun aluminum racing mirrors. New chrome rocker / wheel arch trim. Custom Brit license plate. New fuel pump. Quick ratio steering rack. Aston Style flip fuel cap. Every rubber item and all gaskets were replaced with new. And more!! For those who prefer American style driving as opposed to true British motoring, Thatcher can be easily converted to left hand drive. Major parts to do so are included. Thatcher comes with some additional items including: a spare 1340cc engine and rod change transmission, a custom fit car cover, parts and service manuals, special tools, books, scale models, original wheels and a host of spare parts and maintenance items. A custom trailer to carry him is also included. With all that's included in this auction, I suggest the winning bidder plan to pick everything up in person. (you'll need a truck!!) Oh, Thatcher also wanted you to know he won first place honors at the national MiniMeet this past summer in Rockford Ill. He’s such a ham. Truely interested parties can contact me at mrw@swcp.com. I reserve the right to end this auction early if a buyer is found for part or all of the items listed above.

That's Thatcher!

Thanks for posting the link and info. I haven't figured out how to do it on this site as yet. I can build cars but understanding all the ins and outs of various web sites is a different story.

If you'll be in Abq., check out the nmmini.org web site and see if we've got any activities planned while you're here. Visitors are always welcome.

Discount? Sure. Make me an offer.

Thatcher has found a new home. I'm sad. My pocket book is happy. And the new owner is thrilled. All is well in the land of classic Minis.
