No More Windshield Cracks!!!!!!!!!

THE EDGEGUARD PROCESS
The EdgeGuard process is a proprietary process of applying a clear proprietary 4 mil UV and abrasion resistant plastic film barrier to a windshield edge to substantially reduce the risk of windshield edge cracking. It works by protecting the most crack-susceptible areas of the windshield- the outer 3” to 4” edge- with a suitable material.
The film is cut into vehicle model specific patterns using a high-speed cutting machine under computer control. The six pattern segments typically measure two to four inches in width. The patterns have an adhesive layer that enables the rapid application to the perimeter of the windshield; installation typically takes 20 minutes.
Warranty:
The Standard Warranty offers the consumer either three year or five year coverage that provides for replacement of any windshield that cracks as the result of road debris impact on the EdgeGuard material. The Full Warranty offers the consumer either three or five year coverage that provides for the replacement of any windshield that fails due to road debris impact, regardless of the point of impact.
EDGE CRACKS ARE THE RESULT OF:
• The weak area around the perimeter caused from the thermal effect during the manufacturing process.
• Mechanical stress from the windshield being glued to the metal windshield frame of the vehicle, which also enhances the weak spot.
• Fracture mechanics. The critical force for fracture decreases as you approach the edge.
• Theory of Elasticity. Tension stresses are produced in the perimeter from inside vs. outside temperature variations
