We are planning on leaving Thursday morning (March 3) at 9AM to head out to Vegas from the Los Angeles area. We'll be meeting up with Toshi somewhere on the 15 along the way.

I believe we got in our group the following people(unconfirmed): I think Eric (BRG) is going up Thurs night after work.:

Richard
Linda
James
Toshi (meet up at a later point)
Charles E.
Sheryl B.
Julie G.
Erik H.
Maren

I can understand that! We left at 6AM to Vegas last week, and there was no traffic going up---tons of traffic coming down.

Hope it's not too bad at 9am.

I'll be heading up later in the afternoon on Thursday, with Erik (MNIWMBT). I think Oona mentioned she was interested in heading up later in the day as well, so I'll drop her an email.

BTW - missed you guys on Saturday!

All,

Just roughed out my idea -- nothing set yet -- but here's what I'm thinking:

Leave Lakeside (San Diego) 6:00 a.m.

Arrive Escondido (32 miles) 6:30 a.m.

Leave Escondido 6:45 a.m.

Arrive Temecula (26 miles) 7:15 a.m.

Eat Breakfast at 5 and Diner

Leave Temecula 8:30 a.m.

Arrive Corona (42 miles) 9:15 a.m.

Leave Corona 9:30 a.m.

Arrive Ontario (25 miles) 10:00 a.m.

Leave Ontario 10:30 a.m.

Arrive Devore (21 miles) 11:00 a.m.

Leave Devore 11:15 a.m.

Arrive Victorville (32 miles) 12:00 noon

Leave Victorville 12:30 p.m.

Arrive Barstow (32 miles) 1:00 p.m.

Eat Lunch/Snack

Leave Barstow 2:00 p.m.

ARRIVE VEGAS (160 miles) 5:00 p.m. (or sooner depending on how fast everyone drives

Again rough idea, haven't talked with anyone yet.

Earl

For those of you arriving Thursday, the Sin City MINI Club will be having what we call a "Motor In" at the In-N-Out just west of Palace Station on Sahara starting at about 7pm. Come and join us, say hi, get some good burgers and kick the event off.

Of course, you should also go to the actual "Kick-off Dinner" at Hofbrauhaus on Friday night. In-N-Out will be cheaper, but no give-aways.

Hey Richard, Earl,

According to schedule "Arrive Barstow (32 miles) 1:00 p.m.", any chance meeting up with No-Cal MINI group in Barstow area?
I don't know their schedule though...

Hmmm, to arrive in Barstow at 1pm, we'll have to leave around 11am instead of 9am. I suppose traffic shouldn't be bad at that time either. It might be a possibility. Would be cool to meet up with others!

I'm sure you can always order low-carb foods anywhere, Toshi! You can order appetizers that are seafood or chicken....and skip the pasta! Ox-Tail Soup sounds yummy, though!!!!

Check in time

Ok, back to caravan.
I think if you leave LA too early, you can't check in til 3-4 pm.
So I would think if we leave 9-10, then taking time, having snack break at Barstow should give enough time to meet up with other group

Great to meet up with No-Cal MINI -- like I said nothing set yet... open for changes if necessary. If we leave an hour earlier we would just move everything one hour earlier. Let me know.
