iPod Shuffle with Aux input
Anyone plugged their iPod Shuffle into the aux input? Since the Shuffle only has a headphones output ( and not a Line out) I'm wondering about the sound quality.

I use an iPod via the headphone jack/aux input in an M Coupe with a TrafficPro HU and it sounds fine. Can't see why it would be different with the Shuffle unless the sound quality is different on it (or your head unit).
It's fine through the headphone out.
I've Been using a 1G iPod this way and now the Shuffle.
I set the headphone level to about 70% of maximum.
The Shuffle is very cool. I'm am now discovering new music from my entire music collection where as before I would just listen to my favourites.
Enjoy the new gadget!

I debated a while about where to put my aux input. I finally went and put it in the glovebox, the standard location. Nice, because it keeps everything out of sight. Not so nice, because if I want to skip a track, I've got to open the glovebox to get at my MP3 player.
If I were to do it over again, I might put the aux input in the side of the Euro shelf unit closest to the radio. The jack, cable, and player would still be mostly out of sight, but it would be a lot easier to get at.
Just my $.02...
I just installed the Aux/iPod
I decided on this location. Just removed the plastic panel and did the drilling outside the car. VERY simple to mount there. I was also able to plug the aux connector into the back of the head unit without removing ANYTHING. It was pretty tedious making the connection with my big hands but I still had the complete install done in 30 minutes.
