R56 Any value to a used R56 Continental HPFP?
Any value to a used R56 Continental HPFP?
I replaced the Continental HPFP on my 2012 MCS with new because it was starting to go. Is anyone rebuilding/refurbishing these, and is there any value as a core?
I hate to throw things away that might be useful; figured I'd ask before it went in the trash.

Didn't MINI move to Bosch pumps in 2012? My N18 days are 2 years ago now so can't quite recall
There's a guy in Quebec that rebuilds them and offers one year warranty. Perhaps he'll pay shipping for yours.

Mine decided to go as I was selling it and I managed to find a used one, but was considering this as an option. Cheap and not so cheap Chinese rebuilds on eBay with mostly questionable quality as I recall.
I had to replace the low pressure fuel line too.
For a part with a new cost of $700 to over $1000 at the dealer this is the kind of pricing that gets these cars scrapped.
cheers

Correct. Mine's a 2012 but build date 10/2011 so it has the older pump.
I got a new one from ECS or Pelican, I forget which. Easy job but expensive part. Still cheaper than depreciation on a new car, though, lol.
