6th gear stopped working

Odd situation....
Car: 17 F54 JCW MT

Was driving 72mph on the highway on cruise control, when suddenly car start slowing down. Try to accelerate and car acting like it's in neutral, yet shifter is in 6th. Drove the rest of the way in 5th, and 6th won't engage. Ultimately got the car home. All gears work (except for 6th), however requires a bit of work on the shifter (ie. go into 3rd before 4th). I did take out the intake and the linkage setup seems to look fine and work correctly.

I think I blew up the tranny :(.

History? I did have the 2nd gear pop out that happened occasionally before this.

Car has 60K miles on it, so I'm a bit surprised! I haven't had a shop look at the tranny oil or do anything yet.

Any thoughts on what it could be and what to look for?

If Tranny....
What else should I fix while I'm in there (clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing), and any recommendations what to get?
Like anything that could be improved?

Also, what could have caused this, and how do I prevent this in the future?

Appreciate any help/thoughts/opinions.

About the question "what else to fix while I'm there" chatgpt said:
1) clutch disk + pressure plate + throwout bearing - $300-$700
2) slave cylinder - $100-$250
3) rear main seal - $30-$80
4) transmission input shaft seal - $20-$50
5) transmission mount

If needed:
6) flywheel
7) axle seal
8) shifter cable bushings.

Anybody have any experience with a lightened flywheel?
I used to have a MKIV Supra and did a twin disc lightened flywheel setup. Changes were during shifts the revs would drop pretty fast, which depending on how you drove, would keep you in a wider power band. Unsure if this is much of an a advantage for a Stage 1/2 mini.

Not to get too far ahead of myself, the original question still stands...
Has anybody else experienced this 6th loss??
