I 've been told that the JCW Tuning kit was available for 2014 Cooper S installed in port. Where can I get an official confirmation of this fact? Did other years got the same protocol?

The last trunk kit" or "port installed" JCW option I know of (and I've had R53, two R56, and now F56) was the one I had put onto my 2004 R53 Cooper S. The dealer removed and replaced the head on that engine, as well as tweaking other systems. Major surgery to a new car.

After the R53, the dealer installed option has not been offered to the best of my knowledge.

There was a JCW tuning kit for the Cooper S models that could be dealer installed all the way through the 3 generation cars. The kit option might have been discontinued with the LCI2 3rd gen cars. I believe the 4th gen cars are factory JCW or naught.

I think the only one that got its port installed is the F55 MINI Cooper S Carbon edition and the F56 MINI Cooper JCW 2019 Black night edition. In Europe it was the F56 JCW 210 edition.

This is MINI way of using the port installed accessions to make new models.




Otherwise is was all aftersales.
