Exhaust system leak test

I have the P2096 in my 2004 MCS.
What could go wrong if I apply compressed air around 5 psi to the exhaust tip (Ireland Engineering muffler) and use my hand to feel blowing air from joints, cat, manifold. The tips will be totally sealed surrounding the compressor's air tube.
Experts pls chime in.
*I would like to try this while looking for a smoke machine.*

5 PSI will be fine; mix 1 Tlbs of Dawn in a spray bottle with water and spray the solution around your exhaust fittings/manifold.
