Don't forget to include the VIN number and actual mileage of the car. Price helps to spark interest as well.

Good luck!

All that information is included in the Cars.com page but i guess i'll post it here also. Thanx for the advice!

Also the car is currently in the 23k mi. range as its still being driven so that is why i put 23,000.

Nice looking MCS. 20,500 seems like a good price. No 4 to 5 month wait.
I don't know why it hasn't sold.

Except the front grill it looks like one I just ordered. I would have bought used, but need the automatic. Have you tried advertising on eBay? These cars may be more in demand in the West. Good luck.

Sorry for the delayed response.

I also have no idea why it hasn't sold. Its in pristine condition and i take great care of my cars. I had to just drop the price again to 19,800 because my 05 is sitting at the dealer and now being threatened to be sold because they can't hold it any longer. I'll probably have to reorder a new one.

I have it listed on Cars.com as posted above along with Autotrader.com which included local magazine listing.

I haven't done Ebay but i might just try it soon......

Thameth:

I think you are making a mistake by practically giving away your '04 MCS...seriously. If you can't sell it now, I think you need to let go of the '05 MCS sitting at the dealer right now...probably is not meant to be, at least not yet.

$19,800 for a pristine '04 MCS is a crime. If you insist in giving it away, you are better off going to a Carmax. Probably you'll get that much for it, but then again, why put $4K on the dealer's pocket? Ask yourself this question... Do you make $4,000 in 10 minutes?? I don't think so.

Let go of this car and re-order. I am sure you will be able to sell your '04 MCS for a fair price. But for $19,800? C'mmon bro! That's a mistake!

And Dec thru Feb is the hardest time to sell a car, even with low prices. The problem is just low demand. It should get better some time in March.

I just went through this with our 2004 BMW 325Ci, absolutely pristine with only 11k miles No one wanted it, regardless of price. I ended up just turning it in (it was on a 3 year lease). Fortunately a dealer wanted it and we walked away with no extra costs. If it had been a 4 door instead of the coupe, we would not have been able to afford to turn it in.

Marketing is about reaching customers and sales is about demand. You can reach people all day but if no one is ready to buy...

That may be true, but just 3 weeks ago I sold my '04 MCS with 17K miles for $700 ABOVE original sticker price. That's right! I put an ad on cars.com and sold it without any haggling or further complications just 6 short days after I placed the online ad.

Bear in mind my car was pretty much a basic MCS, no sunrrof, no premium package and no sport package, yet it sold itself for top dollar.

Trading in is a bad idea in 99.9% of the cases. Unless you are under the gun to get rid of of your present car, please don't do it!.

Thameth can always re-order and give himself another couple of months to find a buyer and sell the car for a fair price, not a fire sale price.

None of us are Donald Trumps swiming in greenbacks, so we need to think with our heads when it comes to decisions that are not meant thousands of dollars, but that can have repercussions years down the road.

Thameth's MCS is a beautiful car. I only see 2 problems with it: The color. A lot of people are not into white cars (Although Pepper white is a cut above your milk delivery truck white paint in most cars) and second the mileage. 24K miles raises outbrows for a car that is not even a year old.

However, that doesn't mean he can't sell it. The car is attractive and well equipped. I think he needs to be patient and unless a miracle buyer shows up, he needs to let go of the '05 MCS and re-order. No harm done.

Actually my car is more than a year old, it was purchased on Thanksgiving 2003. Yes its over the supposed 12k per year average which i don't think should even be valid anymore because i rarely see people stick to it on vehicles which are their daily drivers.

Sadly if/when i do have to re-order i'm really second guessing ordering white again because of this experience.... I expect to keep my next MCS for a very long time (probably will never sell it), but you never know.

Right now i just want my downpayment back and if it does sell for 19,800 i'll only take a small loss which i'm willing to take. So far its very frustrating to see someone else sell theirs for a profit only a few miles away while i sit and get absolutely NO phone calls for pretty much a month!

On top of all that i'm having big time problems with www.Autotrader.com listing my car correctly. Some days its on the site and others it won't show up on the search..... Now i've updated the price to match the latest drop and it hasn't shown up that way on their site, its still listed for 21,500....

I just want my 05' already so i can move on.....

I was going to ask why you're selling but after going through the post, I see why.... I agree that you're actually giving away your car since I sold my 03 MC last year for $19.5k.... although I only had 9k miles on it.... I replaced it with my 05 MCS... anyway, good luck and I hope you find a good home for it....

Awesome MINI! I'm sure you will sell it for a good price or you can wait for another order. At least you won't be without a MINI until you do get the new one.

This does make me wonder if we are beginning to reach the point where used MINI's no longer sell for the same price as new ones. . .

Great looking Mini

Bump for your awesome MINI. I don't know if I would second guess your color choice. White looks really sharp. The right person just hasn't seen it yet. Working on new biz venture or I would buy this car right now. Good luck!

This is a beautiful car! I love white and this is one of the two colors I would consider getting if I hadn't just had a daughter last week, and the wife is now leaving the work force:( However, she doesn't like white so that color is out. I would have preferred the black roof but that is just personal opinion, not what you are looking for. Good luck.
