Have a 2010 S with the 6 speed manual.
70K miles,
have an oil leak thats dripping onto the exhaust pipe , right where the pipe bends from vertical to horizontal and goes under the transaxle.
it appears to be coming from right above the left front corner of the oil pan, behind the heat shield for the cat, of course I cant see up in there,
we washed off everything and put UV dye in the oil, and this seems to be one of the places its coming from,
its also leaking from where the clutch cylinder bolts on and from the weep holes in the bottom of the bellhousing., but those dont drip onto the exhaust
pipe and stink.
whats up behind the cat heat shield that would be leaking?
is this symptoms of the oil filter housing gasket?

Mine was the oil filter/cooler
housing gaskets (2009 JCW R55).
another likely suspect would be
the turbo oil line. Same teardown
to do either so if you do one of
these, you ought to do the other
at the same time.
I will agree, its most likely the Oil Cooler or the Turbo feed or drain lines. I would get a borescope and look closer, you could always drop the downpipe to get a much better look.
