Chrome Interior Parts on eBay?

Has anyone bought the Interior Chrome parts off of eBay?

I was looking at a set of 23 for $74.00. The price is right, but I was wondering about the quality.

Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

Thanks!!

I bought chrome mirror caps off of eBay a few months ago, and they were
the same as those advertised in other MINI accessory magazines for a higher price. Like anything else you buy, make sure you read the fine print, check out the feedback on the company/individual selling the item, and watch out for the shipping charges (this is where you can get ripped off ). You can buy the MINI interior chrome trim rings from your dealer, but they are the real deal and require removal of the old ones. Looks kinda overwhelming, but actually pretty easy. The downside of this is you still need to buy an aftermarket stick-on trim piece for your tach, as you don't want to remove that. (Moss makes a nice, but expensive one). If you want all the pieces in the eBay kit, what the heck - can't beat the price. I'd rather spend $75 and find out I don't like it than a couple hundred!

I just got mine today. The parts appear to be pretty good. They go over the existing parts instead of replacing parts like the MINI kit does. The big diff is that the official MINI kit is $125 for fewer pieces.
I''m going to install them this weekend so I'll post bacck to let you know how it goes.

They turned out pretty nice. You have to make sure you have the fit right the first time. Fit and finish was good. Worth the money.
The only thing I wish they included was overlays for the little ***** (hazard and dimmer) by the speedo.

The best website I have found on this subject is from Josh W. He has the part numbers, list prices, and instructions here: http://www.jwardell.com/mini/chrome.html

All of the parts listed in Rick-Anderson's thread is in the kit except for----
handbrake handle ($19.95) and the tach cover ($59.95 Mossmini)The install went pretty easy. Just take your time with it. Maybe hour & half. By the way,to install the e-brake handle, remove the boot from the rear of the boot. Using a small screwdriver, lift the boot. There are six clips holding it in. Easy to remove & replace. A zip tie is holding the boot to the cover.Just cut, remove boot, install handle & reverse everything. 5 minutes.

Just got mine from eBay

Hello Everyone! I just purchased this kit ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7954820706 )off eBay it arrived today. It's too cold to install it today here, but everything looks very nice and for just over $100 you get a lot more pieces than what comes with the dealer kit. I will post some pics when I get it all in. If anyone else is thinking about one of these kits get one. The seller is very fast in shipping as well.

Using a 2006 loaner MCS whilst mine is in the shop and it has the Chrome line interior; I think I'm loving the look..
