2011 Cooper S Turbo missing pipe on Turbo Air Inlet
Hi, Just bought a 2011 mini with a new engine. On the turbo air inlet there is a sensor with a hose attachment but with no hose attached. Google search sa Hose missing?
ys it is the PCV valve but I can't fine any help with where the missing hose might go online.
That’s not the PCV connection. The PCV is the larger hose on the other side in the inlet pipe closer to the turbo inlet.
That connector, when used, is for a crankcase breather hose. However, it was not used on every vehicle, for some reason. My research has yet to uncover why it wasn’t used on every vehicle. If you pull that little clip, you can pop off the fitting and check to see if it’s open or if it’s blocked off. If it’s blocked off, your engine doesn’t use that breather hose, and you can go on enjoying life. If it’s actually open, then you have a hose floating around somewhere looking for a home….
