$10 Lower Coolant Hose alternative by ACDELCO 26636X

Anyone try the ACDELCO one peice 26636X lower coolant hose? Its bloody $10 from Amazon delivered vs $90 from ECS Tuning for OEM vs $120 from stealership plus $4 for eacdh clip (3 total for that entire lower hose section)

AC Delco's website shows the N14 engine specific hose so I'm hoping its the exact part.

By the way, you guys with high mileage cars, reinforce the clip that ties the lower hose up to the plastic piece with the hole in it (see pic below). My clip broke off and fell out of the bottom of the engine and the hose dropped and scraped on a speed bump or who knows what and it scratched through the hose. Luckily I caught it before all the coolant came out.

Here is the hose in question with some clear electrical tape around the perforation to stop the rest of the coolant from leaking out. (It's not drive-able that way, in case your wondering).

And above you the hole for the clip to attach to (notice there is no clip at all):

AC DELCO claims that this same hose is good for all of these application:

ACDELCO 26636X lower coolant hose replaces dealer part 17122754223

Its a perfect fit. See pic below. $10 vs $120

Thank you ACDELCO. F.U. Mini/BMW.

ACDELCO 26636X lower coolant hose replaces dealer part 17122754223 which is $120 and made of two rubber hose sections and a plastic interconnection (with new clamps). The ACDELCO unit is one single pipe.

This goes from the bottom of the radiator up next to the headlight on driver's side and goes into another plastic interconnection to another section of rubber hose.

You may need to replace the OEM clamps with screw type band clamps because the ACDELCO hose seems to have a slightly thicker hose wall which makes it hard to get the OEM clamps around the hose once mounted in place.

Dont do this job without cable operated sprig clamp pliers or youll go crazy trying to get the clamps off.
