R50/53 No CEL, yet scanner reveals P1106 and P1239 codes
No CEL, yet scanner reveals P1106 and P1239 codes
I was trying to reset my airbag light that lit for no reason after doing the 3.5 ohm resistor hack on the battery squib pack.
So I used an OBD scanner to try and reset the airbag light (didn't work)
However, it did show codes P1106 and P1239. These wouldn't clear either.
Yet, no check engine light.
1. Huh?
2. I'm assuming I need new MAP sensors?

Have you checked to make sure the MAP sensor connector is connected to the sensor? If it is, you'll need to verify you have power and ground at the sensor. If those are good, chances are you have a bad sensor. You'll need a scan tool that will check all modules to see what DTCs are stored in the air bag module.
sounds like you need a better scanner. inpa will clear your airbag light. the schuaban (I don't know how to spell it and don't feel like looking it up) works well also I hear. ecstunning sells them I believe
the codes my not be present at this time. old codes.
