F60 What color is your Mini's coolant?
My F60 2021 Mini Cooper Countryman (base model, 3-cylinder engine) had a slightly low coolant level. I bought the Mini used and have records of it being serviced at a Mini dealer. Those records don't show any coolant work but does show things like rear brakes replaced, oil changes, air filter and cabin filter replacements, etc.
When looking into the reservoir, the coolant was not visible but I could see that the level was just below the min and max indicator but I couldn't tell what color it was.
I bought Peak Blue coolant for European Vehicles (it says: For all BMW and Minis) and instead of adding blue coolant to an unknown coolant color, I added distilled water to make the fluid level higher. After a little driving, I let it cool and then checked the reservoir again. I was surprised to see yellow coolant. I only added 6 or 8 ounces of distilled water but it brought it up to just over the max indicator.
I thought the Mini was supposed to have blue coolant? I am glad I didn't add the Peak blue I bought and just added distilled water. I don't think mixing colors is a good idea.
Anyway, should the coolant in the Mini be blue or yellow?
Thanks!

Hello,
MINI likes to change thing up on the Gen 3 MINIs.
Most are Blue, but they have a new green HT12 (not the all fill green from the domestic side). Maybe someone changed it? If so i would just do a full flush. Or maybe its the green really thinned out and looks yellow?

Yea, its hard to tell, that or someone added Prestone universal yellow? I guess the only way is to try to see where the coolant is leaking and what color is it.
