Found in oil pan 2013 mini cooper non turbo

was doing basic oil change noticed oil was not flowing out very fast like it was blocked stuck my finger in the drain hole and felt this..removed the oil pan and this was sitting in the bottom of the pan..the oil is slightly milky looking but like I said was running perfect no signs of anything..looked at coolant tank its empty..now im at a loss of where it came from and how to fix it..

Thats one of the plugs from the under the engine. Visible from underneath.

How did that end up there?????????????????????????

Milky oil...maybe oil cooler gasket leak. BUT Check for head gasket issues before you go any further!

Hello,

Looks like this one. Bottom of the block near the oil pan / exhaust.

See my brand new engine leaking oil from the same plug shortly after I installed it. (Mini junk)

It looks identical to the 2 in block next to oil pan outside of oil pan..both mine are still there..this was found inside the oil pan. And it is larger than the oil pan drain hole..so it didn't crawl in there..had the oil checked no water or coolant in oil...discoloration is from liqui moly's ceratec
.

Do you see an unplugged hole in the engine above the oil pan? It's been a while since I took my pan down so I don't recall the details.

Do not use engine oil additives.
