JCW Lightweight seat with heat?
Lightweight seat with heat?
I'm looking to save weight on my Gen 3 JCW F57, but changing to lighter seats. It also would be great if they resulted in a slightly lower seating position.
However, they must also be heated, or at least be able to be modded with a heat system.
I read that the stock seats + sliders weight 44.6 lbs. I don't need sliders as I'm the only driver.
The lightest seat I've found so far is the Sparco QRT-C, at only 12 lbs. That's 65 lbs lighter, which is reasonably significant. - But no heat.
Any ideas?
But I also read something about some OEM seats having airbags on the sides. Is this true with the Mini? If so, maybe this whole thing is a foolish idea.
