I have a 2005 R53, jet black. I'm looking for the OEM aero body kit that came on this model MINI for the JCW option. I'd also like to know of any suspension modifications that are required to get the right ride height/look. I am the original owner of this car, and intend to keep all the original parts for whatever family member may take ownership one day, after I'm gone. My wife isn't crazy about the idea of making this change, but I have explained to her that it can always be put back to original spec if someone preferred that look instead. Its been 20 years looking exactly the way it left the showroom. Am I wrong thinking about doing this?

 

It is a great look, but the parts are no longer available. If you can find them, expect they will be expensive and you will need to paint and install them. Some may require extra components like grills, fasteners, etc which you may source separately. Unless you find a complete car from a salvage yard, it may take some time and effort. Good luck! FWIW, my wife thinks I’m a little crazy too…but if it makes you happy and you can afford to, why not.
