Hi I wanted to say hello, introduce myself and my new to me F54. I've been looking for an F54 S with a manual transmission to buy for a couple of months and a nice, well documented, one owner F54, was traded in at my local Mini dealer. Previous owner was trading up for JCW convertible, got the call from the dealer, test drove Clubman, bought it. I had driven several previous owned F54, all the cars had an automatic transmission, and while fun to drive, I missed owning a manual transmission... IMO big difference in fun factor and control of any sports car. Colors are Melting Silver Metallic & Black.
So far have only made basic changes to the car; got rid of the run flat tires / put on a set of Pirelli (the ride is SO MUCH nicer), bought a spare & jack from Detroit Tuning that fits perfectly in the storage space, and yesterday used the Bimmercode app to turn off Active Sound Design (ASD)... just seemed too fake 🙉 to me and I'd rather actually hear my engine.
Now have started to look at some tuning options, and mostly focused on either Burger's JB4 or Dinan's DINANTRONICS X tuning modules and that will be my first mod. After that a Cat Back exhaust system.
There is a lot of great information on this site and I need to spend more time researching my questions. Looking forward to participating on the Forum.
My daughter has a 2017 F54s with the auto, and I just convinced my sister to buy an F54s with a 6 speed. She had a lot of difficulty finding one - she wanted BRG badly, but after looking for about 3 months finally pulled the cord on a 2018 in pure burgundy with the melting silver roof. She had looked at a 2019 JCW but it was white silver metallic - essentially silver - and it was a definite no.
This is what you want for performance....I did this and it's an absolute blast....
Gearhead60 - thanks for the link on the DINAN full flash tune. Yes more horsepower than the plug in tuners.
With the full tune software are you able to switch back with an app to “stock” setting? I know you can with the plug in tune that would be useful if you run into situations where you’re not able to get 91 or 93 octane. That just happened to me last week on a driving trip to eastern Quebec and northern Maine.

Yes I was very lucky to find this car. After my first test drive of an automatic F54 I said to the dealer that I really wanted a manual 6 and he laughed out loud and said he hadn't seen one in a couple of years, but took my contact info and then one showed up and it was also All4. 🍀
That's awesome! I was looking for about a month for just a clean F54 that wasn't super overpriced. I ended up getting one a week ago, 2017 S All4 with an automatic, and it's been so much fun driving it over the Prius V wagon I had before it. I test drove a manual at one point, which was great, but that one in particular had enough issues with it to not make it worth it. So a lot.
