2013 Mini Countryman S won’t start after spark plug change

So I attempted to changed the spark plugs. They were gapped correctly and installed correctly. Cranked but no start. I was changing as they were changed at 25k and now we are at 96k and getting misfires under load.
The engine didn’t start so I swapped everything back to original and still won’t start. The connectors are lay flat so shouldn’t be mixed up and connected well. So confused as to why I’m having this issue. Seems so dang easy to install and reinstall.

You should change your coils. They are known to become intermittent and fail over time.

+1 check the coils and the snap in connection from the coils to the plug harness, should be nice and tight. Coils can go bad all the time on N14 and n18 engines.

So what happened? What did you do to remedy it? I doubt all your coils went bad while changing your plugs.

I removed coils to inspect my spark plugs. The process of removing them "broke" one coil and resulted in misfires in a cylinder, but the engine did start. Kind of a long shot, but I assume the ground wire ring terminal on the ignition coil wire harness (that runs along back of the valve cover) is attached correctly?
