rear fender wheel arch light

Hello Mini community,

I own a 2019 Mini F56 (base hatchback, 2 doors).
The rear right side marker in the fender (wheel arch) is not working anymore.

Is this a enclosed LED unit to be entirely replaced or is it a regular bulb to swap?

Thanks!

Hello,

It connects with double sided tape from the factory. Its Led on the F56+ MINIs.

Rear right: https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/63217297548/

You can see the white plastic that goes around the outside that gets pealed off to stick.

Thank you so much. I did some research and was wondering why the perimeter was white, unlike the current light on my Mini

Yep, first time MINI made them like that, before they were all screw on.

You just have to clean the surface of the old location before you stick. Alcohol wipes work.

A tip: well, two tips.

(1) The double-sided tape can stick to either the lamp assembly *or* the fender liner when you remove the old lamp assembly to replace it. You'll want to make sure that you get all that double-sided tape off of the fender liner for sure. A utility knife with a good sharp blade, thoughtfully applied, will do the job. If you don't get it off of there, you'll find that the new lamp doesn't sit flush and may not even adhere uniformly in general. Very important for reassembly: don't rush letting the tape cure in place. Or you may end up annoyed later.

(2) If the replacement lamps you get don't come with double-sided tape already affixed, the product to use is 3M's VHB 5925. As a result of my experience with item (1) and needing to replace my wheel arch liners entirely, I ended up having to remove the lamps and reinstall them. This 3M tape was a lifesaver. Super-thin, matches original spec in terms of its depth measurement. Link to product on Amazon:
