Can someone who has replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor with the angled connector share some wisdom on how to finesse the clip that holds the sensor on the Thermostat?
Every guide or video I have seen has the straight sensor, and most guides have you disconnecting the Oil Pressure Connection. My car does not have the configuration shown in those guides. It is like the below:
Mine has a vacuum connection, and it's a PITA to line up the clip. Certainly not the way portrayed below:

The connector is not the problem, as it swivels. I don't want to resort to removing the thermostat.
Further searches landed me on a thread where a member whose configuration matched mine, asked if they could remove the Vacuum Pump to get better access to the clip.
