F55/F56 Coolant Flush Question: 2014 MCS B46 have 2-circuit cooling system?
Coolant Flush Question: 2014 MCS B46 have 2-circuit cooling system?
Hi to all,
Im doing a coolant drain/fill on my 2014 MCS with B46 motor. I am reading different things where some claim the B46 is a 2-cicruit system with low-temp and high-temp reservior tanks? I know this is true for the larger B58 6 cylinder motors but I cant seem able to find evidence to confirm whether or not it applies to the B46 in the 2014+ Mini Cooper S. They are saying when there are the two systems, you need to bleed them both separately.
I want to be sure Im doing this right. Does anybody know if there are indeed 2 cooling circuits in this car?
Thank you!

This technical training PDF on the B46 engine may or may not contain the answer -- not sure but worth a look.
(P.S. That PDF is *very* cool stuff in general.)
