JCW R60 clutch
R60 clutch
Any suggestions for new clutch? I just turned 175000 miles on original clutch. This is a daily, yet it has mild mods and dam she is fun to drive! I am just shy of 270 HP and I drive like an *******. Any suggestion on a clutch for spirited daily driving? Single mass or dual? And NO, not driving like a crazed *******, is not an option. We own these things for a reason!
I've been happy with my ClutchMaster set-up. I have a stage 2 R55 Clubman, and I am running their FX100 kit with steel flywheel. Almost 75k miles later, and it still holds and grabs great. I do not drive like a ninny. I went with the FX100 and steel flywheel because I wanted single mass flywheel and stock like "daily driver" feel. I got what I wanted from their kit.
Whatever setup you go with, make sure it has the timing pin hole on the back of the flywheel. Otherwise, if when you need to change the timing chain and the hole isn't there, you'll have to drop the transmission and fit an OEM flywheel to perform the service.
