I've had my R53 up on ramps for a while now, working on replacing the clutch. There were many setbacks along the way, hopefully overcome. However, when I was maneuvering the bell housing back into place, I heard a clank, looked down, and saw a black bracket lying on the garage floor. It looks like it holds the wiring harness, or something like that. I'm guessing it was attached to the harness and came loose as I was lifting the bell housing back into place. For the life of me though, I do not know where it should go, where it attaches.

I've attached pictures of the bracket alongside the case of my apple airpods to give an idea of the size. I've also attached a picture that says it is part number "12 52 7518722" and calling it "Bracket, cable harness".

Anyone know where this errant bracket should go?

 

I think that bracket goes on one of the starter bolts.

 

That attaches to the top center bellhousing bolt and holds the spider wire harness.
