Old Member, but I am back after many years

Just wanted to reintroduce myself. I am an old member that once leased an 07 R56 Cooper. Lease was up and I drifted away from this place. Now I am back.

On Monday the 8th I purchased an 03 R50 Cooper 5MT. Mostly in good shape and I clocked the 100k mark driving it home.

Things so far that I notice and need to get resolved:
  1. passenger window does not roll down and the fog lamp toggle also does not work
    1. I notice that the whole thing moves, will check the clips and see if that resolves anything when I get into it on Saturday.
  2. Driver side seat rail is very rusty.
    1. new part is super expensive
    2. looking to take seat out, remove the part, clean the rust and then paint it with some rust inhibitor
  3. airbag light is on
    1. clean title
    2. thinking it may be the passenger seat cable, will dig into that this weekend as well
  4. Left rear taillight lens is cracked
    1. nothing needed immediately, but may upgrade to the Union Jack LEDs
  5. some minor dings
    1. PDR should clear that up
  6. needs door sill replacements
  7. I got two key fobs, but one key blade is missing, looking to get that replaced. Looks like I can get empty shells with a new blade pretty easily, but from what I have read the proximity sensor is a bit of a hack it up DIY job.
This weekends project:
  1. swap cigarettes lighter with triple USB replacement
    1. 2 PD
    2. 1 USB3
  2. install Bluetooth kit
  3. install cell phone mount adapter on tach
  4. remove downpipe cup holder
Anyway, its good to be back, it has been way too long without a MINI. I now live in Indiana instead of Los Angeles. So a trip to the Tail of the Dragon is being eyed. I did participate in MTS 2008 in Los Angeles.

Honestly I went to look at a Clubman on the lot, both asking around the same price, this was cleaner. The clubman had CEL, oil service and tire lights on, as well as the drivers side A pillar trim was broken off. This was a really good deal.
